Community Stages
is a nonprofit theatre arts organization founded
by Terry LeCompte, a performer, educator, and director with deep roots in New York City’s vibrant theatre scene.
Grown from the seed of a belief—that collaboration is at the heart of every success—Community Stages has become North Central Florida’s premiere source for inclusive, expert training in acting, music, movement, and design.
While our tuition-based programs support creative growth and skill development, we also bring the joy of theatre into public spaces through free, family-centered performances that are as accessible as they are imaginative.
You’ll find us in schools, libraries, parks, and community centers—bringing stories to life, sparking connection, and creating spaces where every
learner can shine and every audience member can experience the magic of
live performance.

Humans on Spotlight: The Pros Behind the Play
All Artist. All Heart. We're All in for You.
Where Expressive Humans Grow

Together:
We spark expression.
We build belonging.
We make space for magic.
This is where learners grow into leaders who shine their light in
every arena.

Summer
Programs
You Spark and Strengthen
Young artists ignite their creativity while building core skills in acting, voice, and movement. Held at The Cornerstone School, our camps blend focused theatre training with the fun of classic summer camp.
Campers explore storytelling, design, and collaboration in a joyful space — growing in confidence, making friends, and often returning year after year to share the stage again.
Take Part. Act Now. Registration is Open!

School
Year Programs
You Build and Belong
Our school-year classes and workshops keep young artists growing all season long. From acting and improv to voice, movement, and storytelling, students develop their craft in a playful, supportive environment.
With age-appropriate challenges and an emphasis on ensemble, these programs foster skill-building, self-expression, and a sense of belonging that keeps students coming back.
Programs. Performances. Possibility in motion.
